Largest Contentful Paint
Loading Speed

Measures how long it takes for the largest visible content element (image, video, or text block) to load.

⚠️ Needs Work 2.5s – 4.0s
❌ Poor > 4.0s
Common causes: Large unoptimized images, slow server response times, and render-blocking resources.
CLS
Cumulative Layout Shift
Visual Stability

Measures how much the visible page content unexpectedly shifts during loading — causing jarring jumps.

✅ Good ≤ 0.1
⚠️ Needs Work 0.1 – 0.25
❌ Poor > 0.25
Common causes: Images and ads without reserved dimensions, dynamically injected content, and web fonts causing FOUT.

First Contentful Paint
Load Perception

Measures the time until the browser renders the first piece of content — text, image, or canvas element.

✅ Good ≤ 1.8s
⚠️ Needs Work 1.8s – 3.0s
❌ Poor > 3.0s
Common causes: Render-blocking CSS/JS, slow server response, and large initial HTML payloads.
